The global commercial outlook nevertheless remains strong. Other market definitions produce significantly higher values, demonstrating both the technology’s rapid development and the lack of a universally accepted market boundary.

Commercial opportunities in Vietnam are likely to emerge initially through targeted projects rather than national-scale patient twins. High-potential areas include hospital workflow simulation, predictive maintenance for medical equipment, virtual commissioning of new facilities, remote patient modelling, clinical trial simulation, personalised treatment planning and digital representations of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.

For healthcare software companies, artificial intelligence developers, cloud providers, medical device manufacturers, simulation specialists and hospital technology suppliers, this creates an early-stage market in which partnerships will be particularly important. Solutions will need to integrate with existing hospital infrastructure, comply with local data requirements and demonstrate measurable improvements in clinical or operational performance.

Vietnam’s growing Healthcare IT sector, expanding AI capabilities and commitment to health-sector digital transformation provide a credible foundation for future adoption.
